There are a couple of links below for patterns for bargello quilts. Varying the width of the strips cut from the loops will give an arc effect. Although the quilts look complicated, bargello is fairly easy. Accuracy is important, though, both in cutting and in sewing 1/4" seams.

The first link is from Simply Quilts on HGTV, and has detailed instructions with photos. The second is for a curved diamond shaped bargello - scroll to the bottom to see a photo of the quilt, and click for PDF instructions.

This will be a sofa size quilt. You will need additional fabric for the backing, binding, and border if any.

Sort the fabrics from light to dark. Use a rotary cutter to cut each piece of fabric into strips 45 inches by two inches. Sew the eight fabrics together in light to dark order, using 1/4 inch seams to make sections that are 45 inches by 12 inches. Press seams flat, alternating up and down.

Now stitch the long sides together to make a tube. Use your rotary cutter to cut the tube into two-inch bands. Starting with the lightest color, pick apart a seam on the first band to make a strip. On the second band, pick apart the seam at the second lightest color. On the third band, pick apart the seam at the third color, and so on to the eighth band.

On the ninth band, open the seam at the seventh color, on the tenth, open the seam at the sixth color, and so on until you reach the end of your fabric. Pin the strips together in order; the seam allowances will nest together because you pressed them in alternating direction. Sew the pieces together.
