I got new windows about a month a ago and I feel a breeze coming in. Did they not caulk it enough? Were the windows the wrong size? What will he say when I call him?
It's about 10 degrees..I am freezing in my house!

Sounds like the windows weren't properly sealed when they were installed. Due to the cold, and low humidity, it is possible the frames have shrunk, if they are wood.

Since they were only installed a month ago, I would call the contractor that did the work and complain. If he won't come out, check your paperwork for any warranty on the installation. You may have to take him to court.

Fixer is right. If you hired a professional to do the job, then he / she should be professional and make it right. Never should the install be so poor that you can actually feel the breeze. Call the contractor and tell him / her the problem you are having. If it is just one window, it may be defective manufacture and covered under warranty anyway. In the meantime, cover the window w/ a heavy fabric to block some of the cold air. Leaving it open is not doing any favors for your utility bill.

I agree with the first poster. Call the people that installed your windows and let them know what is going on. You probably have the wrong size windows is my bet and that is why there is a leak coming through. The installers will know best and if it is their fault, you won't be charged anything. Good luck and get warm quick!

Who cares what he says when you call him? If the windows are not adequate someone must be informed. You cannot tolerate those temperatures!

I would tell him what you told us here. There are lots of reasons for a draft and you covered a couple there but he'll need to inspect to find the problem I think...
