How do I change my windows user account after it has change to a temp account?

I downloaded some updates from window my laptop went crazy have sorted out all the problems except for one. Initially it told me there was a corrupt file or securtiy problem and opened me an temporary user account which doesnt save anything or have any of my settings, seem to have sorted out the problems and its now running fine, and i can use my user account name but it is still using the temp account with my user name if that makes sense, I click on my users name but its still the temp account and I cant access my pictures and other stuff any ideas how i tell it that I want to use my user profile and settings and lose the temp one?

Have you tried deleting the temp account from control panel / user accounts

At the logon Screen

Press ctrl / alt del

When the small window appears

logon as administrator to access all files and folders and user accounts
