I wouldn't think of having children with someone unless they are at least prepared to get married. Including taking vows in front of family and God. If the other person doesn't want to get married, I would be worried that they want an easy out if they feel like it. You and I are worth more than that. Best wishes.

Do you need to get married? That is a better question.
No one has to get married. I think it's basically for religious purposes and tax break purposes. Doing the right thing in the eyes of God and getting a tax benefit if you file joint taxes. Because you can have a life long partner and do the same things as married people, except file your taxes jointly.
Love is love. Life is life. With whomever you choose to share them with is up to you and marriage or no marriage won't change that.

If you mean do humans need to be married, the answer is no. Marriage started as a way for a man to claim a woman as his property. It also gave him hiers for his things.
On the other hand, as people have evolved so has marriage. We do need companionship and love. Marriage provides us with those things if it is good. A marriage must be based upon two best friends who totally trust each other or it will fail.
Do we need to get married? Yes and no. We need to have at least one companion. We do not need the piece of paper in order to have a companion. We need to have a commitment from at least one companion and marriage proves that commitment exists.
Take care,
Troy

This is totally up to you and your choice:) If you feel you need to get married someday then go for it BUT only when you have found the right one to be with. But if you dont ever want to marry or do not find that right person then do not marry.

Not necessarily. I think the perfect union would be that each of us in a committed relationship should live in houses on opposite sides of the block, backyards adjoining.

Yes. Since I'm carrying your child and we have three more half-breeds at home, it's imperative we get hitched. Let's make your momma proud.

I would be just as happy living with a woman who cares about me, marriage is just a piece of paper.
