I have a guy in my class and his birthday is soon so I am going to bake some peanut butter cookies for him because I made them for my class before and he really liked them. He told me that I could bake for him any time because the peanut butter cookies were so good. That is why I decided to make him some for his birthday.
My mom says baking for a guy is a really intamite thing to do but I don't think so and I really want to do this for him. I don't know if I like him but if I bake for him will he think I like him?
What do you think about baking for a guy????
Is it good or bad?

It is both good and bad. I will point out the both sides.
First of all, does he know that you're baking these cookies to be nice as another classmate or something else. There needs to be a clear understanding of what type of friendship or how close you are with this classmate. Because, right now, I bake lots of baked goodies for my class & whenever there is a birthday, I bake a cake for that person & we share it in class & they also get their own mini-version of the cake. My classmates, are not going to misunderstand me for this nice gesture as a crush towards that birthday person, b/c I'm not single. If you are single & you're not baking for everyone's birthday, then this guy might think you like him & have a crush on him.
Second, yes, you should definitely think about what your mom said to you. She sounds like a wise woman.
It's your call, what you want to do.

Bake the cookies. I always baked for people when I was in school and not in school and still do. If at anytime after you give him the cookies he thinks you like him or he likes you and you don't want that. Just explain why you gave him the cookies. It was a friendship thing. You know the best thing ever is truth and talking.

I think you should and if you are after his heart the best way is through his stomach. I'm sure he will more than appreciate what you've done for him. Remember he told you he liked them and said you could bake him some. That's great to do that for his birthday or any other time. Good luck.

Baking cookies, cake, or making candy is a very nice gesture.........
I appreciate your mom's opinion..... and you should still be respectful to her about it
But I think most people would take baking something for another be it a guy or a girl a a sign of friendship and kindness
I would bake away =)

They say a way to a mans heart is through his stomache and he will probably think you have a crush on him. But it's not a bad thing to do, i wouldn't mind if a female friend of mine baked me cookies for my B-day

I disagree with your mother completely. I see nothing wrong with baking cookies for your classmate. I think it's a nice gesture & he'll really appreciate it since he's already tasted your cookies & liked them. Just because you bake for him, doesn't mean that you like him. It means that you really enjoy baking & there's nothing wrong with that.

I think it's wonderful for any guy to be in the kitchen and baking yummy goodies. My guy does it and he is very good at it. I am surprised at your mothers comment....
In my opinion, this is a wonderful gesture and you shouldn't worry so much what other's think. Your gift will be very much appreciated...you are such a lovely person to put so much thought into something like this.

Of course you should! You did the right thing. I bake and cook for my male friends all the time. Hell I even clean their houses for them! But hey, they are my best mates and I would be lost without them.

I actually think that is nice
you know him he is a friend
and that is saying Happy Birthday
he knows you do not like him
and your actions will say that..
he can share them with everyone
when you give them to him
give them in class and say Happy Birthday
Friend...
