White is definately more than ok to wear to prom. It's very divine and exquisite. Unlike black which hides more than it shows, white shows off all of your curves and flatters your figure. But if you change your mind, various other colors are just as beautiful. It just depends on what dress you like on you.
I wore white to mine along with several other girls and got nothing but compliments all night.

100% YES!!! For my senior prom, I wore a white dress that was actually made to be one of those bridesmaid dresses that you can dye a different color. Everyone loved it. I actually had a teacher of mine that had chaperoned the prom tell me she thought I was the most elegantly dressed girl there. You can't go wrong with white. Just make sure you have a pretty good tan, and that you don't do the frills and lace thing - that would make it look like a wedding dress. (By the way, I married my senior prom date lol) I hope you have a great prom, and that your white dress makes you feel like a princess!

Yes, if it's pretty. White is one of the most unfriendly colors because it doesn't hide anything (curves). And also depending on how dark or light your skin is it could make you look like a ghost or make you stick out like DAMN! I would say Red, Black, Blue, or a pretty Green Would go with just about anything. But it gets really tricky when you start to get into those bright pastel dresses.

Absolutely. I wore a white dress to my senior prom. I just made sure that I didn't put on a formal hairstyle and shoes so that it didn't look like I was going to a wedding. Oh, and cut down on frills.

of course! i wore a white dress my junior year. i love white formals, don't you? sure they look a little wedding(ish). so what? its a color. i've always thought it would be great if a girl wore a tux and accessorized it to be feminine. i think it would be a great look. i've seen it once, but, it wasn't girlie enough. but with the jacket opened with a sassy bow tie (or not). spike high heels and some black sunglasses. i'm getting away from you question i know. but this is my opportunity to get my other ideas out there. you could really dance funky in some pants too.

Yes. Like those 50's white dresses strapless, and you can put a blue or black satin sash on your waist and wore some black satin high heels. It would make a beautiful statement!

It would be fine, but i'd be worried about getting it dirty (spilling punch or food on it). I'd much rather wear something colored. If you want a light colored dress, go for pale yellow, blue, etc. Have fun!!!
