Last heard, the El Nino was disappearing which will just make matters worst for those who live in the south, especially in Florida because, El Nino is what made the Hurricane Season 2006 light.

Yes, we were in a moderate El Nino for most of the winter. However, we never got into a typical El Nino type weather pattern. The El Nino is weakening now.

Yes we are. The El Nino phenomena is occuring more frequently and is currently about every other year.

Doctor Wellington of the University of Houston, Texas has studied the frequency of El Ninos and found that they now occur once every 2.2 years - twice as frequently as they did 250 years ago. The result being more extreme weather associated with El Nino (and La Nina) occuring more frequently.
