I think it is because you have a lot of children posting, who have not yet learned to think for themselves. I also think that a lot of those children post bigoted ideas to push the envelope of good taste, and see what they can get away with; it's a normal sort of rebellion, but that doesn't mean it's a pretty sight, particularly when you ask yourself where those attitudes were learned. I think the answer almost always rests with the parents who either don't talk about racism and the fact that it's wrong, or espouse such backward beliefs themselves.
