Ok- as of my last question I hadn't had my period, it was a few days late. Since then, I did get it and day 1 & 2 were lighter than normal. Day three was practically nothing, half the day I had nothing at all. Some of it was brownish also. Today is what would be day 4 but nothing but brown spotting. This is odd for me because typically my first 3 days are VERY heavy and day four is a little lighter and day five it just starts to end. This is how it's been for years. I have never been on birth control. My husband and I have possibly conceived. He is adamant about me needing to get a blood test. I have gotten a negative hpt but it could've been too soon. Other women in my family including my mom when she was pregnant with me has had a similar period like this when they were pregnant. Should I go get a blood test?? I just don't want to go through it and get let down!

Yes!!! you have to go to the dr and get a blood test. First of all. I went through all the emotional roller coaster to find out I wasn't pregnant. And that was a full blown after 4 pregnancy test negative and two blood test negative. My period came 35 days super weird. I was devastated. Now I'm waiting this weekend to try again cause i'm into the ovulation kit. So I hope you are pregnant.

Good Luck!!!

It really doesn't sound like you are pregnant. Home tests are very reliable--get another hpt to confirm the first one. Most drs aren't going to give you a blood test without a pos. urine test anyway--especially since you are having a light period. It is more likely that you didn't ovulate last cycle and you are having an anovulatory bleed--it comes about the time your period is due but is lighter and brownish.

Getting let down is a risk you're going to have to take girl. You very well might be pregnant and if you are, you'll want to be working with your doctor from the start. Besides, won't it drive you crazy waiting to see if you get another period? You'll end up spending tons of money on hpts too. Just go ahead and get some blood work done and know for sure.
Good luck!!

If you don't want to go through getting a blood test yet then wait another week and take another hpt, then you can decide if you want to go for a blood test after that or not. Just try to avoid anything you wouldn't do if you are pregnant for now just in case.

If you got your period, you are not pregnant. Sounds like just a light cycle, happens to everyone.

Wait until your next cycle. If nothing, then go to the doctor. Stress is also a major factor in cycle changes so calm down!

Well, how else are you going to know unless you get tested?? YOu can give yourself another week and try the urine test again or just make appointment to get blood test done.
