I remember running home from school to catch the episodes where Barnabas was chained in a coffin .
This went on for two weeks only to find out years later it was written in the script to give Johnathan Frid a vacation .
They really had me hyped up that barnabas was going to die unless someone saved him .
Dark Shadows was good television that you will not see anymore because of ratings and lack of creativity .

Yeah. I've gotten evil urges to become a Republican or Democrat and shill for big business and capitalism. But then I look at the household budget my sweetie has drawn up and I regain my senses and go back to socialism.

I was a kid but I SAW it!!That was sooo strange!! Bet it's still circulating long after the actors pass away!! We witnessed a cultural phenomena in Soap Operas!! Yeah for US!! Good Luck!! @8-)

I used to love that show. Barnabas Collins was a cool vampire. As a kid, I used to have the board games. I always thought the intro to that show was so creepy and cool.

Yes. My two favorite characters were Barnabas Collins and Angelique. It was always intriguing watching that connection develop as it did.

Only when visitng my cousin who thought it was wonderful. I thought it was pretty stupid. She also loved The Three Stooges and I got forced to watch that as well. I sitll can't stand them.

YES! Then my sister and I would act out the scenes. I can't believe how cheesey it was, I thought it was soooooo good at the time.
