I have a 2003 GMC Envoy with 55,000 miles. My Mechanic noticed my brakes were bad while rotating my tires. He couldn't give me any kind of a quote until he took them apart. I'm still driving on the original brakes...What should I expect to pay to replace them?

If the rotors can be saved the pads form GM. are $65.00 wholesale for two wheels. The rears have a small brake shoe set-up inside the very deep hub cavity if the rotor. Their replacement would ring-up another $70. If you need rotors be careful. Our Chevrolet Dealer carries three grades and brands. AC. Delco @ $70.00 ea. for the front General Motors @$155.00 each for the front. Sit down when we move to the rear. Do to the larger disc / drum combination figure 30% more for the rears. They do carry a low buck off shore replacement an they'd be 30% less than the AC Delco brand. You want to know a trick, this job is the easiest brake job I've ever done, you could easily handle it . Please do not take it to Monroe or Midas. They use off shore rotors and charge the same amount as genuine GM. Parts.

brake airborne dirt and dust will make noise additionally and could no longer effect braking skill lots if in any respect. given which you have already had 2 inspections, relax certain that there is not any longer a situation. attempt this, take a backyard hose and wash own the front brake assemblies while you're fortunate you will do away with adequate airborne dirt and dust to maintain it quiet. I even have executed this on some vehicles of my own.
