Guess we will never be able to find out. Although the previous poster is right that Hitler was a product of his environment too, and probably someone else would turn into a dictator in Germany, it wouldn't have to be so much and so devastating, and the holocaust might not have happened either.

It's a moot question, the same as asking what might the world be like if JFK or Martin Luther King Jr or Bobby Kennedy had never been assassinated, or if the 9-11 hijackers had been prevented from carrying out their plot or if a cop had been driving by when OJ was in the middle of committing murder. It's always interesting to think about, but then we're always left with the reality of the world as it is.

Things would be quieter in the Middle East.
After World War I, England divided the old Ottoman Empire into the counrites you see today. Some countries were under England's influences. Some under France. England then started encourging Jews to move to the Middle East. A lot of the Arab countries had largely nomadic popukations.
Iraq fought to throw the British out. England won and imprisoned the Iqags who started the uprising. When World War II started, England freed the people they had emprisoned.
One of the people they freed, contacted Germany and asked for military help in kicking out the British. The Iraq offered all the oil Germany needed if they did this. HItler dismissed the offer - casue by his agreement with Italy - Italy was to control the Middle East.
Later Hitler took the offer seriously, but Germany only sent a small amount of forces into Iraq - which was quickly defeated by the British. When this failed, the Iraq who had started this - fled to Germany. He became a member of the SS and did radio broadcasts - nightly - back to the mIddle East saying they should: Kill Jews, Kill British, Kill Americans.
After World War II ended, the Allied Forces - due to his popularity in the Middle East allowed him to go to Egypt and he did not face war crime prosecution. He continued his radio broadcast tpo a generation of Arabs who still wanted freedom from foreign influence.
Today, the people who listen to his broadcasts have mostly pasted away. But their children grew up listening tothe same broadcasts - and even added more hatred to their broadcasts. School books and tv in these coutries are filled with hatred for Jews, England, and America.
A lot of the tactics that the US is using in Iraq today - are the same tactics Israel has been using for years. And yet the unrest continues. And these are the same tactics that England used after World War I when the Arabs revolted.
One of the Iraq army officers who lost his job for revolting against the British was Sadam's Uncle - this is the man who raised him.
And in Iran these days - they say the Jew Holocaust is fiction written by the Europeans and Jews.
The situation in the Middle East today is the result of Hitler's ability to pull together the dislike of Jews by Germans and the resulting war that he caused.
Today, most of the nomad in the Middle EAst have settled down. But they do not have opportunities for jobs and businesses. They have little to do but to create babies and blame everything bad on Jews, England, and Americans. Part of this is based upon the restrictions Israel has placed on the Arab population to try to attain a sense of peace & security. by the action by Isral casues more propbelsm. And the actions by the Arabs casues more crackdowns by Israel and Allied Forces.
It apears to be a "Deadly embrace" between the 2 sides that can only lead to more fighting and trouble.
If all of the problems created by Hitler's anti-Jews campaign had not existed, could the Middle East have gone the way of India (also under British inflence at one time) and peacefully obtained their independence from foreign interests?
