I tried sending a .zip file but it was taking too long and i cancelled it..

I share mp3's by sending them through MSN messenger all the time.

If you both have some kind of instant messaging client, like AIM or Yahoo Messager, large files can be easily sent through there. In a chat window with your friend, click on "Send File" and it will prompt you to locate the file you want to set.

Just download Yahoo messenger, install it, log-in with your yahoo ID and add her Yahoo ID into your profile, ask her to come online and there is a 'send file' provision provided to send files quickly.

yes, they are just files.
The reason you may hear people cannot email mp3 files is if they are over 5mb or whatever your mail service allows a file to be.
You can't send huge files without compressing them.

you can email them in most cases, you can also use yahoo file transfer. If it was taking to long, that is likely because you don't have alot of upload bandwidth, especially if you are using dialup!

sometimes you cant email them cos they're too big. what i do is upload them and send your friend the website address of where you uploaded them. i personally like using http://www.f-forge.com/
