I had it done and it didn't do anything, the midwife could also feel when she did it I was one or two cm already, but I still went 2 weeks over due and had to be induced. It really does matter on the person it could work for you within a few hours...

my friend went into labour 12 days overdue, she had the stretch and sweep done on her due date and 1 week later. She reckoned that orgasm brought on her labour in the end!!

i had a sweep in the morning and went into labour that evening. it hurts a little but its over with quick enough

I had it done twice and it didn't work either time. I think it depends on the person, i have heard that drinking rose tea from the health food shop helps too. When your baby is ready to come out it will make its presence known!!

I was overdue and they done a membrane sweep - didn't work, made me bleed and was sore. But had to be induced week later!! All down to individual body and how it reacts I suppose

worked for me. i was 2cm dilated and according to the monitor belt was having regular contraction but couldnt feel them. midwife did the stretch and sweep, i went for a walk and within 20 mins had my first real contraction and had my son 8 hours later

I had it done and it didn't work at all. But some people are different and it may wirk for you. Even though it didn't work the first time if I go over I may even have it done again with this baby.

my sister had it done twice and she still went 2 weeks over and ended up being induced. I say the baby will arrive nto this world when it is good and ready and not a second before

my wife had it with our second child and felt different straight away and knew she was going to go into labour and started contractions within 2 hours and had our son five hours later
