This is a simply MATH thing. 780 MB is 780 million. 4 GB is 4 Billion. So the 780 MB video should fit on the DVD. It sounds like your DVD burner thinks that you DVD is only a CD and refuses to burn for some other reason or error. Does your DVD burner support that type of DVD ? (look at the label and is it marked DVD+R or DVD-R)

Good luck and Happy Computing!

When you start the burn make sure you have DVD and not CD as the burn to. I've had the same problem because the burning software defaulted to CD.

.... 4GB = 4096MB, so you have plenty of room left.. And DVD shrink wont just "shrink" a file for you. You need to compress the file using a codec or zip/rar if thats waht you want to do..

To begin with, 4GB is much bigger than 780MB. You can put 3 780MB files, on one 4.7GB DVD.

You don't have to, it's already small enough. 1 gigabyte = 1024 megabytes. 780 megabytes is less than one gigabyte.

780MB is a lot smaller than 4GB.
