Can anyone give me any tips/suggestions on how I can get comfortable when I go to bed?
I am 6 months pregnant and I like to sleep on my side. Only thing is if I don't support my belly it aches, if I put a pillow under it I am just soooo uncomfortable. Any ideas of what I can do to get a good night's rest?

Try a pillow under your knees to support your back. Maybe a folded blanket under your tummy would help. Sleeping gets harder all the time....Just try to take cat naps during the day.

I usually like sleeping on my stomach, so I had to find some new positions to sleep in while I was pregnant. The one that worked the best for me was this: Take a straight body pillow, one that's not too firm, and lay on your back for a minute. Put the body pillow between your knees and hug the top, the turn on your preferred side, usually the left. I usually turned 2/3 of the way so that the baby and my stomach rested on the bed with the pillow firmly against the top of my stomach, not actually under the belly. The support provided by the matress and the pillow together were enough that I didn't get that ache. After experiencing that ache for a month, I know what you mean. Good luck to you and your little one!

When I was pregnant I bought a wedge and put the skinny side under my belly. It gives you the same benifits as a pillow but with more comfort. Also, I placed a pillow between my knees which helped relive the pressure and pain in my lower back. Hope this helps!

Ive heard that the full body pillows work the best, however i havent gotten one ( 27 weeks preg). anyhoo, i just use a pillow and, yeah, sometimes its uncomfortable so some nights i do without it and try to sleep. Fortunately for me, my bed is broken so it offers somewhat support the way it lays lol ( last night was probably the best i slept since my 3rd month). Try drinking something warm before bed, and get a lotta pillows to plop up on ( if u dont get the full body pillow) that'll help you sleep. good luck and congrats!

We all have that same problem and what worked for me was using a body pillow, i bought from Wal Mart, It's extra soft so when you lay down it basically goes flat under your body...very comfortable. I also use extra pillows under my back and if need to sometimes a smaller pillow in between my legs.
Of course you'll have to switch sides often as your body adjust to one spot and begins to hurt or get restless.

I used one of those full body pillows - a good quality soft one. It doesn't press into the stomach like a regular pillow does and you can prop your leg up on it too which helped me. Hope that helps... You need to get your sleep while you still can :-)

I used a pillow wedge for my belly and a pillow between my knees to keep my hips aligned. It was much more comfortable for me.

buy a boppy body pillow for pregnant women that will give you comfort when you sleep. my aunt used one and she slept through the night soundly. they are around 30-50 dollars, depending on the quality and size. check on different websites like nextag.com. good luck!

When i was pregnant i slept on my back. That was and is the only way i can sleep. My stomach did not get big when i was pregnant though cause i only gained 10 pounds so i don't think i done any harm to my son for he was & is healthy.

try putting pillows behind your back and some under ur belly and one in between ur legs. its still hard for me to find that perfect postion to sleep but i still find my self waking up a lil bit on my stomach.
