My partner dislocated his shoulder and would like to know if anyone has any experience in preventing reoccurance as he is looking to return to cricket where he is a strike bowler and would like to have some advice as to how to gain full usage of his arm. He only injured his arm 3 days ago

Assuming it's his bowling arm and not his leading arm, he may need to change his action to a more chest-on or side-on action: I'm a batsman, not a bowler, so I'm not qualified to give advice on this topic, but get him to see a bowling coach or even better a biomechanics coach for advice on how to reduce the strain on his shoulder. Be warned though, a change of action to help his shoulder may a) completely wreck his bowling - after all it's probably the way he's bowled for several years - and b) put added stress on other parts of his body, especially the back and intercostal or abdominal muscles.

You what? I can't understand why so many medical problems are asked on here which are clearly for a professional medical person to sort out. To see your doctor is free! Surely he went to the hospital when he dislocated his shoulder - wasn't he put on physio or have to go back.

I'd get back to the doc's or hospital.

see that he does plenty of stretching exercises and doesnt lift heavy weights this will be along process as the arm needs to heal.
