I agree with everyone else, I get them alot also so I feel your pain, drink lots of water just remember to keep it constantly in your system, it helps so much, stay away from sodas, chocolates, anything with caffeine, even sprite, although it doesnt have caffeine it still has the effects.

Kye, I promise you, I have the answer. I use to get bladder infections about as often as you do. I'd do everything correct just like you listed! And still get them! I'd go take the antibiotics and it would clear up, then a month later GET ANOTHER ONE!

Then finally I went to the Health Food Store and found a natural pill called D-Mannose. Please let me tell you how AWESOME it was. Ever since I took those pills I haven't had a bladder infection! I did also take some Cranberry Pills along with it, but the D-Mannose is what "cleaned me out". haha. Seriously if you want to get rid of your bladder infection for good go to any health food store and see if they have D-Mannose (pronounced like man nose). Here's the scientific explanation of the pill that I copied off of the internet.

I totally agree with the answer from "mom of twins." You have already done most of the standard treatments and now using a preventative one like taking a pill after sex or getting your doc to give you a prescription ahead of time so you can take the entire course of pills at the first sign of any infection might work.
The most likely place that you get this is from sex, so continuing to pee afterward is definitely the best practice.

I'm not a doctor, but my mother gets bladder infections quite alot too. She takes cranberry pills. You can get them anywhere vitamins are sold and are relativly cheap. She takes 2 in the morning and 2 with her evening meal. They seem to have helped her at least not get as many infections.

Good luck.

And don't drink soda pop. Lots of water instead.

You are not drinking enough water, you must drink at least 6 8oz cup of water a day depending on your size you may have to drink more but never less. What happen is that you body is not cleaning itself out fast enough causing high deposits of protein to sit in you bladder. If it goes on too long you could develop up with gall stones. Also try to reduce your protein content. When you urinate your urine should be light yellow almost clear.

I used to get them a lot also. My doctor gave me a pill to take after sex to prevent them. Also, you need to drink lots of water and there is a cranberry pill you can take. Most likely you have a short ureatha, that is what my doc told me.
