Sounds like you want to jump out of the frying pan and into the fire. They all have their agendas, and it certainly ain't you CITIZEN.

He's already vastly increased stamp duty for buyers - a tax burden which falls disproportionately on the South of England - so this comes as no surprise.
Londoners paid the Treasury £165 million in Stamp Duty in 1996-7, but by 2005-6 that had gone up to £1,275 million - almost 8 times as much! In the same time, the burden on the Scots, Welsh and irish went up by a factor of just over 5, from £65 million to £345 million.
That's an increase in Stamp Duty of 25% PER ANNUM in London, and 20% for the Celts, for Gordon's first 9 years as Chancellor. Lucky for him that his preferred way of calculating inflation excludes stamp duty and other taxes!

Totally agree with Mr Hugh Jarce. Most people in this country can probably see whats going on, but sadly most are far to interested in their own VERY IMPORTANT LIVES to give a sh about doing anything. All i can hear here is "blah blah blah, whos better, the red team or the blue team?" the overall consensus seems to be that most of you think that they are just as bad as each other. hmm, thats probably because they are exactly the same, and do just what the people with money tell them to do.

Well i've just about had enough of labour. I voted for them after the disasterous tory years and to be honest they,ve been no better. Actually probably worse for the working man.
I'll be voting Lib dems even though i don't even know what their policies are. Its time for change.

Good luck trying to raise social / political awareness in UK !! You will need to attach your alert to either big brother, beer or football before any brits will be in the least interested. Why do you think I work overseas ? This country is a whore to the capitalism which is eating you alive ! But nice try ! No one will care though.

If there is anything worse than snivelling Tony Blair then it has to be this Scottish mound of whatnot. We need to get Labour out NOW, before its too late.

Gordon Brown will be one of the best PMs Britain has ever had, and all attempts by selfish and narrow-minded fellows like you to discredit him are bound to fail. David Cameron has nothing better to offer. He had better go back to school to learn more about politics before coming to take Britons for a jolly good ride. It is Gordon all the way!!!!!
