These are plants without vascular systems (phloem and xylem, dedicated food and water transport cells) such as mosses.

non vascular plants lack an internal means for water transportation, and therefore they generally only reach a height of one to two centimeters, (cause they lack the necessary for support). These include mosses, liverworts and hornworts.
