Here's the deal: I've spent a good chunk of money on this facial package with my physcian's dermatologist/beautician. She's awesome and I've had wonderful results...is it neccessary to tip her? I am not made out of money, and I've already spent enough on the package - but I do not want her to feel insulted in any way. Any suggestions?

There is no law that states you should give her a tip!
If you just want her to know that you appreciate her good work, bring her a small gift the next time you go. Or maybe even a card or a $5 gas gift card (to last for the next couple of visits worth of tips!)

Once you pay them, the money they get is already calculated into the expense of the package and the application. So she is well covered.

Hope this helped some!

If she gave you good service and you appreciate the care she took while doing your procedure then by all means you should tip her. It is customary to tip a beautician 20% or more. Personally I tip more than that because I know if I call on short notice I will get in no matter how busy she is. My hair cuts run around $60 to $90 depending on what we do and I normally tip $20-$30 dollars. I am also not made of money (part time bar tender) but think the service I receive is worth every penny!!

if you dermatologist is cover by health care/ insurance no. believe me you wouldn't insult her. If it's in a clinic setting don't tip her. That's like tipping your doctor for doing something outstanding. That's his job! He gets paid more than enough... he doesn't need your 10% to 15%. Word of mouth is better... just tell your friends and family about how great of a job she did. That's jus like paying her back... and she'll find it as a compliment.

If she is doing it in a salon then yes! If she works at the doctors office then No. You don't tip a Dermatologist because they are like doctors! You do tip Cosmetologist in a salon setting. Always Always tip your hair dresser. He He just had to throw that in cause I am a Cosmetologist Hair Designer.

You're supposed to at the minimum give a 10% tip.
