Actually, power steering fluid is not the same as ATF, and on some vehicles, using ATF in the power steering can actually cause damage to the pump. In the old days, you could use ATF in a power steering unit, and some older vehicles even called for ATF in the steering. For a couple dollars, get the fluid designed for power steering and don't cheap out, it can wind up costing a lot more later.

Some Chryslers used a synthetic power steering fluid, and some Neons used the synthetic fluid. The synthetic is of course more than the regular P/S fluid, but it that's what it calls for, then that's what you need. A call to the dealer's service or parts department should clear up what kind of fluid to use if you don't have an owner's manual to look at.

Any parts store or Walmart, etc. Just ask someone in the parts store what kind you need to use or look in your owner's manual at the fluid specs. It will tell you the type of fluid and where to put it in.

Definitely CHECK the owner manual for fluid type. Most are ATF, but some are not..... Any local auto parts store can help you at the counter.
