If it is worth alot you could try a private auction house like sothebys or christies.

You'll find that ebay has the widest audience which has the advantage that there will be more competition between buyers.

However, you may also want to have a look at stampwants.com and delcampe.net who have much lower fees and are targeted at collectors.

I know ASDA (www.asdaonline.com) have some info on their site but I haven't read it. You may be able to get some advice from various stamp dealers (again try the ASDA site or your phone book).

Whatever you do, don't rush into it. The value of the collection won't change because you've waited a few weeks. The folk at stamporama have a forum (http://www.stamporama.com/discus/) where you can ask questions and get answers from experienced collectors.

Ebay is your best option because of the number of people who use ebay you have a better chance of selling it for what you want.
