If you want to send a really free sms to any place in the world, the only you have to do is to go to wadja http://www.wadja.com
It is the only site that offers free sms and doesn’t have any hidden costs to the sender or the receiver.
Also users from all over the world have nominated as the best mobile social network for 2006
I think this is the best reason for preferring it.

Use Peekamo.com!

You really got to go to www.peekamo.com and register for their free service. At peekamo, you can send free TXT messages to anyone in the USA and Canada from your desktop. You don't need to know their carrier or anything. Best part is that it is free, for you and the person receiving the TXT msg. Peekamo uses SMPP not SMTP (Yahoo and MSN use SMTP)You don't have to worry about spam either. You can create groups too. I'm from Canada where if you don't have a plan, TXT messages to the US can cost upto 15cents! Check it out - it really works and its really free. and no spam at all.

Why pay the telco's when you don't have to right!

P.S. in your case you will need get someone in the US to sign up for you becaue it only accepts US and CDN Cellphone registrations. But if you can get that done, then u can use the account to send messages to the USA from your PC for free!

It will cost money for the person receiving the text. But if you use the provider's website, or your e-mail, there shouldn't be a charge. I do that all the time.
