youre very sweet, the way you use the word 'baddy'

Maybe you're just rather young in which case watch out - there are some sick old men on the internet. Dont talk to strangers.

By the way, not being able to run in dreams is common. I get that too usually when I'm trying to escape a dangerous situation and it just feels like you're running in treacle.

At least I always wake up just as I'm about to be shot

When I was younger I had similar problems in my dreams, I was always being chased by a monster, no matter what I did I couldn't get away or hide he would always get me, I was bullied alot when I was younger, and I belive the monster in my dream was the bullies in my life, for no reason at all in my dream one night I fought back, the very next day I had it in me to tell the bullies where to go and I was ready to fight if I needed, It freeked the bullies out so much that I stood up to them that they stopped. I don't know if this is any help to you, But you might just have a slight lack of confidence in your life. If you have be brave you never know what might happen. Don't fear your dreams they are there to help you.

All of these things would signify being powerless, vulnerable etc. Perhaps the way your life is when you are awake, you are not able to allow yourself to feel vulnerable so you experience it intensley in a dream? Or perhaps its the other way round and you are afraid that you are too vulnerable in your waking time so your dreams are showing you the worst case scenario if you continue to behave this way? Really with dreams I think they are so personal, so its what this powerlessness make you feel that is important.

yeah, i think plenty of people have these dreams, and its so frustrating!!! i have this trouble all the time. dreams where i need to run, and i know i can run faster, but my legs seem to be moving in slow motion in relation to the rest of the dream. i can never quite punch someone, or hit them hard. a couple weeks ago i had a ww2 dream where i had to slit a nazi's throat, but felt like i could never cut deep enough. its weird. don't know what it means, but i think your perfectly normal. or maybe we are both weird.

Sounds like you are trapped and unable to help which may reflect on your currant state of mind or position at work or in a relationship. The only way out is to look at your life and see where your trapped wheather that be job or relationship. Change it brake free of those bounds and fly like a bird.

The impression I get is you feel like you are a door mat, and I don't mean that in a mean way, its just the perception I get from the dream, if I am wrong, I am sorry. I also get that you are tired of being such a person.

Are you just frozen still, and take the "punishment" per say?
Yeah, I have had that dream. When I have had those dreams, they were with faces I didn't know, but with voices I knew. So, I interpret these dreams as hiding from my guilt that I am burdened with with the people in these dreams.

It's cos you're not physically moving in your sleep therefore you can't move in your dreams. I used to have a recurring dream where I had to run down a flight of stairs. I couldn't run down the stairs, so I jumped down them (sorted of floated down). I would then wake up because I actually moved in bed.

Absolutely not, it signifies helplessness as a big issue in your life. Your dreams are helping you cope with situations over which you have little or no control. As you mature, you will find these coping mechanisms invaluable.

I get that, you can't run for sh*t or punch anyone properly. It's due to sleep paralysis in a deep sleep which stops you moving around and falling out of bed. Hope this answers your question.
