Iran is the final piece in the BushOilCo plan for Hegemony over Middle East Oil. We have military bases, or surrogates, from Cairo to Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan. We now have Iran surrounded, and once we take them out the game is over. Bush, and Mr. Darkness Spreads Out Before Him Cheney have been threatening Iran since we first went over there, and having demonstrated they have no compunction about overthrowing governments, we should have no reason they will not do it again. The conflict is largely one sided as Iran does little to threaten us. But, if we allow this endgame to roll out, we may well find ourselves fighting for our lives in an all out war against the entire world of Islam, a war we cannot win, for we have so much more to lose. It is time we stopped George W Bush before he gets us all into WW III!

We are not in conflict yet, but it will be soon. Iran has decided to take us on and it is a serious mistake. Iran's president is mentally ill and he mouths off at every opportunity to tell the world how bad the USA is and what he will do to the Israelis and USA. Let the SOB try and you can kiss Iran goodbye because this time we will not be able to control Israel. Israel will be fighting for their lives and then anything goes. Remember how the big blowhard Saddam told us that this would be the mother of all wars? We put a dirty rag into his mouth rather quickly and this guy had an enormous army. Iran is in no position to fight a war even with supplies from our two "great friends", Russia and China. Notice, however, that Saudi Arabia and others have been silent on the matter between the USA and Iran. These bloody Arabs stick together don't they?

The president of Iran is a member of the fanatic twelver Shia sect. For those that do not know what this is, I suggest you look it up. They believe that it is their duty to bring about as much destruction and mayhem to the worl to hasten the return of the 12th or hidden imam. So, Iran gets what it wants no matter the outcome. The true question that needs answered is do you let Iran run all over the world causing death and destruction? I would hope that the answer to this would be no. Unfortunately, the media ignors these facts and chooses to focus on anti-war stances. This is our Vietnam legacy, and why the US is not capable of winning another war. The best we can ever hope for is a tie. Need proof? Turn on the news and count the pro war stories versus the anti-war stories. How many in Hollywood are for the war. Pro-war in and of itself sounds like a horrible thing. What many fail to understand is that war, while a vile thing, is sometimes the only answer to fight evil. People do die and innocent people will die. Tragic? Yes! I am not all happy that we are in a war now, but I understand the broader implications of not fighting. As to Iran, they can not be left unchecked. There words and actions will do nothing but embolden others to do the same. I would hope that the lowering of oil prices will cause even more turmoil for the Iranians. Low oil prices means even more unrest in a country that is suffering. If nothing else, remember this, if Iran has its way, the entire Middle East will be under their control, and thus a majority of the oil. Do you think that is a good thing?

America is making the same mistake with Iran as it did with Iraq. So why can't Americans ever learn? It is OK for Israel to do whatever she likes in the region, including using cluster bombs supplied by the US on unarmed civilian populations in the Lebanon, but it's wrong for other countries in the region to prepare themselves against such wanton attacks? Iran is a great nation and her people should be allowed to decide what is good or bad for them. Dictating to others the type of government they should have is not the mark of a super power that the US wants to be. Let common sense prevail instead of all the rubbish bandied about by so called intelligence reports. That way, the world would be a safer and better place for all mankind.

the Great people of Persia are being directed like fools rushing into a conflict that will bring them nothing but pain and sorrow. Your President is placing you on a war footing you cannot hope to win but will cause the People to suffer. I hope the Iranians overthrow this Idiot and move away from Nukes. to do this would prove thay are once again a great people.

Diplomacy. We have a standing relationship with the Communist dictators of China -- who gladly arm Iran as well as North Korea. If we can hold our nose and deal with them we can do the same with Iran.

just political posturing. there will be no conflict, the negative impact will outweigh any postive effect. bombing will only result in slowing down irans nuclear program, not end it. iran helped us overthrow the taliban and is currently helping rebuild Afghanistan. ahmadinejad will not be re-elected. to attack would be harmful to ME peace and the safety of US troops.
