I'd do five things:

1. Copy / trace great examples of comic book art.
2. Draw stick men / women in action poses.
3. Learn constructive drawing, anatomy and perspective(pick up Loomis Figure drawing, or Ron Tiner's drawing without a model.)
4. Learn to draw people from life and finally
5. Learn to draw people from memory / imagination.

Each of these things should improve the quality of your work, and leave you with the skills to tackle the next thing.

I know there was a how to draw superman book that came out a few years ago based on the animated seires that you might be able to find on ebay. Other than that, the comics magazine Wizard has done a how to draw Superman feature in the past, altho I dont remember which issue that ran on. Hope that helps!

I used to work in a public library, and we had a book on how to draw superheroes and comic book action. The nice thing about the library is that it's free. If your local library doesn't own a copy, they can inter-library loan it for you from another library, and this is usually free, too.
