Physically, open up the back, remove the old one and insert the new one!
Or do you mean so that the phone will connect to O2? If the Sim card is inserted correctly and you cant get the service where you normally would then I think your phone is locked. Take it to an independant phone shop who can unlock it for you for a couple of pounds.

Well I've got the same answer as everyone else, sounds like u need to get the phone "unlocked" so it's able to be used on any network. There are shops all over the place now where you can get it done. My advice would be to go to a little independant shop rather than one of the larger "branded" retailers as they will charge you a lot more for a very simple job.

if u need the handset unlocked to o2 network, take it down your local market, there will be a stall to unlock phones for approx £10.

you have to take it to a specialist that can opn yor phone to all networks, o2 shops do it, might cost about 5 yo 10 pounds, x
