I have been there once, with a gift card that was given to my daughter...and won't go back. Their breads were good...but $2.50 for a chunk of bread?! I could make three loaves for that amount.

Often when I will go to Starbucks and order a $4.00 drink, the barista can't even make it right. If I'm going to pay that much for a cup of coffee, the least they can do is train everyone to do it correctly. Then when I say that it's wrong and want it made again or ask to have something added to it, they always roll their eyes at me as if they know better just because they work there. I get coffee at coffee shops twice a day, and I only get 2-3 different kinds of drinks. I think I know how it's supposed to be made and can tell when someone did a really bad job.

If you have Caribou Coffee in your area, I recommend them. Their coffee is so much better, and around here (Minnesota) they usually seem to have better employees. I only use Starbucks if I absolutely have to.

Oh, completely. You can waste £2.65 on a 'medium' cappuccino - which is just a small one with more foam in a bigger cup - or do what I do and spend a pound in the Italian place round the corner and get a proper cup of coffee.

What i don't get is why people happily pay 6$ for a large cup of coffee and then turn around and complain about paying 3$ for a gallon of gas.

It is more exploitation, they know people will spend 5 bucks for a 50 cent cup of mud, just because it has a fairly cool name attached to it.

Amen to that brutha....absolute ludicris. And people have no problem forking out the dough for it either. Blows my mind, but Starbucks sure is smiling all the way to the bank. And so would we if we were them.

I favor my personal espresso (espresso, latté, cappuccino, americano, drip, etc) to Starbuck's, besides because the cost mark downs, on account that i purchase and grind my personal beans. yet they don't suck... they're only style of mediocre, homogenized, and extremely over branded. And the following is my commonly used diatribe at to why i think that way (Sorry, that is slightly verbose, yet I desire others ought to substantiate their evaluations this kind.) I have in hardship-free words been to a Starbuck's contained in the airport on get jointly, and that i think they over-roast their espresso. And to ad insult to harm, the cost is way out of line. there grow to be a time i extremely loved them, at the same time as i grow to be residing in Seattle contained in the early ninety's, before they were given so massive. They earned their popularity contained in the early days. Now they in hardship-free words get it because they're the biggest... not the finest. Too undesirable. over the perfect 10 years or so, i extremely concept they were growing too quickly... 1000's of recent shops contained in the perfect decade, to the point that not that Starbucks is amazingly blasé and hardship-loose via evaluation to others contained in the market. And gradually their base espresso then were given worse. that is ideas-blowing that Starbuck's set the classic in espresso residing house fare, with something that many times tastes so burnt you ought to not savour it black. I now and again upload cream if its an extremely sturdy style, yet i'm not prepared on flavored coffees. i love the style of solid espresso unfettered. yet different people favor them and its a stunning good area of interest market to fill. and they were there to fill it once they could create the decision for contained in the market. They looked as if it would grow to be purely about all area of interest.. and no base. yet as of previous due it appears that evidently they sense a similar about their boost, and are final shops. Why couldn't they see this on the time they were increasing... and keeping solid solid boost at the same time as keeping off market saturation. a lot of people ought to confirm it coming. yet extremely Starbucks, like different organizations, sense that rampant, out of control boost of starting up shops and branding products, that permits better and better earnings to push stocks up and up; extremely of thinking the turn away of that style of corporation form, and planning appropriately. it really is many times the folly of maximum U.S. organizations. the mild that burns the brightest and maximum proper does not continuously very last very lengthy.
