You usually ovulate around the 14th day of your cycle. With day one of your cycle being the first day of your period. I would be extra careful for at least 5 days before to 5 days after. If not everytime. It has been known for a woman to spontaniously ovulate if EXTREMLY arroused.

If your not wanting to get pregnant then get on birth control. If you can't remember to take the pill then get on the depo shot or get the iud. You can get pregnant at anytime. You can try the following: Go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating plus it keeps track of your periods and more. It is a helpful and free site to use. I have used it to not get pregnant but really it is meant to use to get help you get pregnant by knowing the dates you are fertile.

Use spermicide along with condoms.

go to www.babynames.com. Click on info& advice, click on due date calendar. Enter the first day of your last period. You will find estimated date of conception. Including that day+ 3 days before that day, and 3 days after that day (total in a week), try to be careful even using condoms because it can break, defected or loose. Good Luck.

If you are that worried about getting pregnant maybe you should get an IUD. Condoms are pretty safe though.

It has nothing to do with position. Use condoms and birth control. That is all you have to do.
