I need Broadband but don't need a landline to make calls. I don't want to pay more than £15 per month. Anyone know which provider is best? Is there anyway I can get away with not paying BT line rental?

Connect anonymously to someone's local network using wifi without paying anything. There are always many of those.

i am on bt broadband with broadband talk and you do not have to have bt line, tiscali i believe do broadband for about £10 for the first 3 months and then it goes up to your budget.i am really biased towards to bt as i have never never had any problems just like others who swear by non bt ,it is a matter of your preference.

Unfortunately not - line rental is just part of their package. As far as ISP's go, be careful you dont end up in a situation like me - cant remember which ISP it was, but the closed down some ports that were required to be OPEN for playing certain games online - they said that it was unfare on other customers to have ppl like me playing games online for hours each day! So much for "unlimited access". Access to internet was unlimited but we could not access our games!!!!

currently using NTL (or whatever it is now) it comes in by cable, so don't need a phone line.
Never had any problems in the 4 years since I got it
