You don't have to feed her baby food at all! Buy yourself a food processor...you can even get a little hand held one....mine was a Braun Hand Blender that I bought for $13 @ Wal-Mart.
Any veggies that are cooked are okay, just don't add any spices, sugar or salt and pepper.
Cook them until tender, blend them up (just a very small amount at a time), and let her decide what she likes! Introduce the new foods slowly, and one at a time, so that you can tell if it upsets her tummy.
With extras, put them into an ice cube tray, freeze them, and then put your little veggie cubes into a zip-type freezer bag for storage. You take one or two cubes out at a time, warm them, and have just enough for a meal.
I didn't ever use jar baby food. I just blended a little of what I was cooking for dinner, before I added the seasoning. MUCH cheaper!!

My daughter is 11 months old and I'm just giving her bites of everything I eat, and stuff like breadsticks and raviolis, mac and cheese, nilla wafers, crackers, scalloped potatoes (she loves those), stuffing, spiral pasta, cheerios, animal crackers, bananas... the gerber entrees are great also. She'll let you know if she's ready to eat stuff... I was going to wait until my daughter was a year old to start feeding her table food but then she started to reach onto my plate when we would go out and steal my food... I was so scared that she was going to choke or have a reaction because the first time she did it was with seasoned taco meat but she was fine, I still feed her baby food every morning and the arrowroot cookies as snacks and she still gets formula until she's a year old but other than that, she eats what we eat. Good luck!

Mine LOVES pancakes! They are simple to make too. We also have cinnamon rolls and muffins for breakfast. Also, we have all kinds of instant oats...with bananas, apples, or fresh berries. Even dried blueberries!
I've started keeping COSTCO bags of dried fruit for great snacks. Cheerios are good ones too. And, those gerber puffs and dried fruits are nice. Especially nice at resteraunts so he can pick them up himself.
For lunch whatever I'm having cut up in small pieces. Like a quesedilla either plain with cheese or with blackbeans and corn. Or, a grilled cheese (1/4 is a serving) with a veggie like green beans or corn.
Then my son has whatever we're having for dinner. He loves rice! So I try to incorporate that into dinner a couple times a week. He also likes grilled chicken, chinese food (homeade) and pasta.
I suggest Annabel Karmel's "Super Foods". She has great recipes and ideas that are simple. Like insteand of a mashed banana try an avacado. My son loves those! And they are super healthy with fresh garlic and mashed tomatoes.
My son is also 11 months and if you start exposing them to all kinds of foods now they'll be less likely to become picky eaters later.
PS: Please don't boil your fruits! You'll lose the good stuff as well as sugar. And, at this point sugar isn't bad for babies at all. They need it for healthy brain growth. I bake fresh apples in teh oven for a quick snack...

at this age, my pedia always said that milk is still number 1. if he eats a bit and drinks lots of milk, then there's no problem. watch his weight gain, if its not enough, then he lacks milk.
im very careful about allergies so my son didnt get much more than baby cereals mixed with some fruit or veggie until he turned 1 (less than 1 month ago) only after that did i start giving him table food.

My son just turned 14 months. He loved toast each morning. I'd just break it up in pieces and he'd eat it right up. What else? Meatballs, cream of wheat, pudding, rice. Good luck and have fun!

Mac n cheese, very small cut up hot dog, rice, try melting velveeta on the veggies, that's how my son loves his veggies. Also try this one:
Egg noodles
cream of mushroom soup
a little cream or milk
one can of tuna
cook noodles then mix in rest of ingredients and just simmer for a few to heat up. Just mash it up for your son and he'll love it
Also try giving him small bites of fruit.
