My computer is not performing properly, and my anti Virus software is not performing either. When I open certain windows, for example when I go START then SEARCH, a window will appear, but no icons or no search box so I cannot do a search for certain files. Also I have tried to do system restore, but when I go to system restore, there is a box that appears, but nothing there, just a window. When I try to open my Mcafee, it also will not open properly. Anyone have any ideas? I dont have the original CDs for the complete restore.

its annoying, any help much appreciated. I would give you 100 points if i could

Never click OK on a popup. Just hit the X in the top right corner.

You've got SpyWare. You should have an anti-spyware solution on your computer. I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.

These are cleanup tools. Ad-aware cleans files, and SpyBot cleans the registry.

If you want to purchase recovery cd's and the computer is HP plzz use this link to order recovery cd's

Well first get rid of McAfee Start-Control Panel- Add remove programs. Then reboot keep intemittingly (not every second or keyboard may freeze) tapping F8 and arrow down to Last Known Good Configuration and that should do it. Then go to www.grisoft.com and download AVG Free Home edition, it's better than Norton or McAfee any way.
Hope this helps.
