hi i am trying to find some infomation on my grandad on the net he served in the ww2, he was stationed at india in 1943 and in was in the k.o.y.l.i is there any sort of roll of honor on the net with names and things? i cant seem to find anything like that

There are lots of google hits on KOYLI, some of which have individuals names, but there is unlikely to be a complete list yet, since quite a few people will still be living. You've probably already tried, but a search with your grandad's surname + KOYLI might work. Another alternative is to register your interest on a contact site, and wait to see if it's picked up.

If you have his service number the regimental historian should be able to help you. Some info will still be classified because of those still living, but you should be able to get a good idea of the campaigns and regimental history.
