What i can do if i do not like any of the Candidate during Elections?How i can use my right to vote?

I am 20 years guy from punjab First time i am going to caste my vote but i dont think right to elect anybody from the standing Candidates.They are not Nation Builders.They are very Corrupt.I use to cry some time when i see how they are ruining the society.What i can do?I want to make some change,Many Youths like me dont like to caste their vote after seeing these corrupt leaders.Suggest me what to do. i will be very thankful to you.Jai Hind

In a particular constituency, if a voter has dislike to all of the candidates competing there, then what should he do????

Then he can show his dislike to all of them by registering for 49'O.

Steps for doing this :

1. While registering the name by the time of voting, convey the booth officials that "I want to go for 49'O".
2. Register your signature in the 49'O form available there.

3. Done.

Now what would happen????

Now, if the number of 49'O count is larger than that of the winning candidates total vote count, then a re-election is called there.


More than all, the shameful fact is, This 49'O is available ever since 1960, but it is in no way conveyed to the people.

Neither the government communicate this, nor did the election commission.As long as the people are unaware of this one, the political parties are enjoying by winning the election and ditching our country.

Just help every citizen to know that they have such a powerful weapon which can be used for ensuring their welfare. None of the media will be ready to publish this

just do the same as i did in my class one time when i didnt liked any candidate ....... i went to cast my vital vote but left the ballot paper blank as non of the candidate were fit to my aspectation . this showed to my dissatisfaction . this act of mine was discussed in the class too .that time i was in my 9th std. the condition are not the same here but this is the only way how u can show ur dissatisfaction and the other is u ur self stand in the election (u hv to wait 4 nxt 5 years as u r only 20 years old)

yes. Your thinking is wrong agents of contesting candidates knew who will not cost there vote and they seize opportunity to get your vote cast by unscrupulous people. Why you should be a party to such unlawful activity.It is advisable to experience the right to vote since it is first time.
