My 13 yr old daughter has fallen out with our neighbours 13 yr old daughter - kids, especially girls do it all the time and I have not got involved and hope they will make up in the future. Although now rumour has spread around their school that the 22 yr old sister of the friend is going to beat up my daughter. The dad of the girl has also said to her that she is a lucky c**t that the older daughter has not 'got' her yet

if i was u i would go and have a chat with the mother the dad seems like a Wally and see if you 4 can sort it out if that fails have a word with the 22 year old and tell her she needs to grow up and leave the kids to sort there differences out themselves just cause they live next door to each other don't mean they have to get on if that fails then i would inform the police hope everything gets sorted for you x x

i would have it logged as a complaint to the police, not necessarily do anything about it but just log the complaint in case anything further happens. i had the same problem, my 11 year old fell out with the neighbours kids so the mother and the older sisters started verbally abusing my child. as things escalated the police went out to visit them and we were able to resolve the issue through mediation. if the 22 yr old touches your child she would be done for assault of a minor, and assault on your police record affects your whole life, you can't get a job. maybe your daughter can take comfort in that knowledge. hope everything goes ok for you x

I would have a little sit down with the parents. Tell them what you have heard and what is going on at school. If it is true that the oldest has made threats then let them know that is not ok and that you will seek out a restraining order if she continues to be an antagonist.

Try to first come to some sort of mutual agreement, like no one says anything to anybody next door and just move on...if they dont want to be friends then they should just not be friends and not be so bully-ish about it. Just tell them to ignore each other.

If they are not hearing anything you have to say and admit to the rumors, then I would go ahead with the restraining order.... If the oldest daughters acts on it, she will go to jail.

Get a restaining order against them. Plus, it is illegal for a 22 year old to beat up a 13 year old minor.

i am fairly sure the police would be useless in this situation as they would just dismiss all of this. i think you should get some reputable people to come over to your house oh say the minister or even a lawyer . i would ask them just to dress normal and not tell the neighbor who they were . then i call the neighbor and ask him to come outside . i would then in a well thought out calm manner get the guy so worked up he repeats his statements in front of the independent wittiness .
i think then you would have a means of using the law to settle this if it came to that . i would attempt in this same convo . try to get the jerk to come to his senses.
well its do all of this or get some huge men to go over and beat the crap out of the guy . i think i would go with option number one even though two is more fun.
