I have been asked to do a project about "shape & Colour " I am trying to find out what people think of the colour YELLOW ..
( i.e : emotions,( your emotional responses ) thoughts, what yellow means ... yellow in your cultures ... etc ). Thanks for all your feedback

Yellow is an intense color, it lifts your mood and makes you feel lively. It stands out among other colors, it brings cheer. Like the sunshine, it can perk you up when you're feeling down. It's one of the neon colors, when I think of yellow I can picture it with red and orange around it. The first spring flowers, daffodils, are yellow, to me the yellowness means hope, vitality after being dormant all winter. Hope that helps!

I think yellow is quite a cheerful colour - makes me think of the sun so I would associate it with warmth. Too bright a yellow is scary but a calm pale yellow can be relaxing...

I thought yellow historically stood for cowardice, hence the saying someone who is a 'yellow-belly' is a coward. Personally i think yellow is a cheerful colour, bright and sunny. reminds me of spring and summer.

I'd say yellow is a warning both in nature (bees & wasps) and in modern city life (yellow signs, road makings and yellow trucks)
its a colour which through its brightness demands your eyes attention. at least thats what i think

well theres so many things about yellow. for me yellow its a colour that i like to wear in the summer coz it gives me joy and when i see it it makes me wanna smile. i also like it an the house walls in the kitchen or in the livingroom. bu they also say that if u give to someone yellow roses they represent hate. somepeople also find the yellow roses that it repesents weakness.

sunflowers, daffodils, sunny summer days, but also A major for some obscure reason. er....also the colour for a team at sports day in school......just little things that i've grown to associate that colour with through my life. Weird!

in the book "the curious incident of the dog in the night time" by mark haddon......a boy called christopher associates yellow with sadness
he won't eat yellow food and thinks that if he sees 3 yellow cars in a row then it's going to be a bad day!....great book!! :)
