Any bread, biscuits or vegetable matter will help to feed any wild animals at this time of year. I think it is very cold where you are and they must find it very difficult to find fresh food everyday. We have just had our first heavy snow of the winter in the UK and everything seem to ginding to a halt. So its very important to remember to feed the wild animals in our locallity.

I gave apple & bread to one one time since he acted curious of me & followed me somewhere. But he sniffed this, took no further interest & left. The ones by me are stuck up & prefer to only dine on fallen tree leaves. Give he him some apple tree fallen limbs. They love to eat leaves mainly when they're not able to get get grass or straw appearing plants, also clover. They eat plants containing nitrogen (grass, leaves) !
You should not ever feed a wild rabbit tame mans foods that have excess animal fats in them.
If the bread has no animal fats this should not harm him if starving & they like the item then go ahead. But this be a starvation situation so I see what you mean.
Don't keep feeding him when your sure the green of spring arrives ! This will be teaching him to trust man & so many people out there are mean & could lure him easier to get wacked since some people think all rabbits do be eat up a garden & they want to lure them & get them dead. I know you want to help him from starvation. But to import some grass or straw be best for their intestines also.
The oat bread sounds like a nice choice out of breads. Oats do warm up animals.

I threw potato bread outside once, and saw a bunch of wild rabbits eating it.
I think they eat anything thats not meat. Try other stuff too...like dried corn, throw some veggies outsides. Carrots and celery if your concerned about the weather being so cold, and the bunny not having anything to eat....
Dont feel silly doing it either...i feed wild animals in the winter too...i feel bad for them <3

Yes and no. No in the spring and summer because of internal and external parasites which can be transferred from the rabbit to the person who cleans and eats the animal. Yes in the fall and winter (when they are in season of course) because the parasites have been killed off because of the cold.

Yes, he will eat it. He will also eat any vegetable matter that you leave him. I used to feed mine broccoli stalks, carrots, leftover salad (without dressing), and all kinds of fruit. Just leave it outside when you can, and he will keep coming back to check and see if there is anything there for him. He may even bring friends!
