At the current time? Yes. Although it is a repetition of the past -- history is unique.

But corporate slimeballs have taken control of the Executive Branch and are using it to help their friends raking in cash.
(harkens back to Harding, Grant)
We are in a war that was predicated on lies, and has become a pointless quagmire. (Vietnam ring any bells?)
And the American people are more concerned about who is winning on American Idol than the disintegration of American democracy. (Look up Roman Empire under "bread and circuses".)
So the past does repeat itself - usually as farce.

in many terms history repeats, as in clothing style, hair style and every other....even politics, and lastly the wars and conflicts between countries, cultures and now religions too (some how), but with a big change to the parties, people, their knowledge, understanding, willingness and creativities, which do sound as very high n quality, quantity and every other way, but results either very low or in failure, since purity and honesty have become history that are not being repeated at any point....

history tends to repeat itself about every 3rd to 4th generation because, say a generation was at war, the next wont be because the older generation remembers the horror and resists involvement. as the old generation dies off, the newer generations don't understand the horror and are gullible enough to fall for ploys to go to war.
