Mixture of farm fields, woods, and the great Kankakee River that goes right thru this small bordertown that I live just outside of bout 15 miles west of the IL/IN state line. Love watching the deer grazing in my yard early sunrise/dusk, foxes playing in my backyard, raccoons being their usual sneaky self with my garbage. lol Oh yeah and the squirrels that are still trying to figure out how to get to my birdfeeders. (I'm sooooo ingenious when it comes to outwitting them. lol) Also enjoy listening to the coyotes late at night.

Lots of corn fields and hay fields. We live near alot of Amish in the country and that's mostly what they grow in big fields. Right now though, everything is covered with a few inches of snow. You get to see lost's of deer also. With all the fields and small woods, it's perfect for them. Not too exciting, but can be very relaxing. If you take the time to enjoy it. This is Leo Indiana. A small town just outside of Fort Wayne. So, you have whatever you need. A busy city, or a quiet countryside.

About 10 miles to the west is the Great Salt Lake, about 5 miles east are mountains, a few miles north is a wonderful bird and wildlife refuge, and about 1hour south west is a desert along with sand dunes. This is the beauty of Utah!

In recent years, they've unfortunately built 3 subdivisions near me. However, there are still several corn fields nearby, as well as the metro park that backs up to my rear fence. Lots of Cattails in the drainage ditches in summer, too.
