no period?

hi there,my period was due on sat and now 5 days later still none..did a pregnancy test yesterday and was negative... had my hopes up but as usual feel dissapointed..... can i add my period is usually always on time.the most its ever late is one day or two days early.just wondered if anyone out there experienced this before..i have been going to my doc to get day 21 test done of my cycle,and the results were 26.3 and this months was 25.1.....hope someone out there can help me...just feel so dissapointed.we have been tryin now for bout 13 months..this time three years ago i was pregnant sadly i lost my son when he was just 6 weeks o,ld...thanks so much in advance...

Hi there honey. It could just be too soon for the test to be picking up the HCG yet. I just wanted to mention that since it sounds like you do have a doctor that you work with why don't you call your doctor and ask her to order a pregnancy blood test for you? That will give you an ironclad answer really fast. Much sooner than waiting for the HCG to spill over into the urine. Since your doctor knows the situation she should be happy to order the test. If for some reason that does not work out buy one of the urine tests kits that comes with two test units in it, that way if one does not show up you still try with the other one. Remember that a false negative can happen for a number of reason but if you get a positive resulst it is almost always accurate.

Wait about two-three more days ad take another test. Sometimes there isn't enough hormones developed to be detected with a test. Each pregnancy is different. So don't lose hope. You still very well could be pregnant. Have your doctor do a blood test. Get a Quantive test done that will measure the level of hormone in your body.

I feel for ya girl! I have been there many many times. We have been trying for 3 years! I know it gets really discouraging but keep your spirits up! I have been going to doc appt after doc appt to figure out what is going on. I would wait about another week and then take another test. I dont think there is anyway of getting rid of the disappointment when you are hoping to become pregnant, but you will get there again.

I have had a miscarrage too. You may want to talk to your doc just to see what is going on or if there is anything that could potentially prevent you from getting pregnant. If this test later comes back neg. just keep trying... thats the fun part :)

Went through it a couple of cycles ago. Though for sure I was pregnant. Told my friends there was a serious chance. After spending probably almost $100 in tests (ok, I exaggerate a little) I was 2 1/2 weeks late. Still trying though.

I am so sorry to hear of our son. But you will have another baby. Just relax. You won't get preggers till you stop stressing about it.

Hello there,

I can sure sympathize with you.
I lost 3 babies all around the 12 weeks mark. it's so heart breaking.
it took us about 2 and half years before we were successful with a baby boy.

2 Years is around the average length of time it takes for anyone to get pregnant. Docotrs won't do any tests until you have been trying for 2 years.

So don't give up just yet. Keep going.

as for this cycle i would just wait a few days and do another test.

i did a pregnancy test when i was 14days late and it came up negative but 1week later i did another one and it was positive..my daughter is know 6months old. i hope all goes well with u and good luck

i do not know sweetheart but i have my fingers crossed for you ... do another test in a few days and hopefully if u are the hcg levels will be detectable..
