You are having a new flag sewn with your image on one half and a huge pile of money on the other half. Your flag will measure 6 feet by 8 feet. You want your halves to be triangles of equal size. What will be the area of each triangle?

Area of a triangle: 1/2(b)(h).

If you assume the flag is a rectangle then each triangle will have an area of 1/2(6)(8) = 24. (The entire flag: 6(8) = 48.)
