When graphing sin i (incident ray) against sin r (refractive ray), which would go on the x axis and which would go on the y axis?

Does it matter?

Normally if I were to graph this, I would put the Incident ray on the X-Axis, as you would have chosen regularly spaced angles (I assume) such as 10, 20 ,30 etc.

If you find you have a problem with your gradient, just invert it - i.e. get it's reciprocal.
