downloaded a driver from epson.com but no installation happened whatso ever. please help, i need to install it asap.

Go to epson's website and support and download or just drivers and choose the one for cx2900 the Plug and Play of Windows will to the rest. They probably have the entire installation cd somewhere on the site. HP does. Or go to a search engine like www.ask.com and search for epson cx2900 installation cd.

and pick your printer. You can d/l everything you need. I didn't see a cx 2900 though.
