No that isn't true.
My first spouse died 10 yrs ago, he was I thought then the only true love I would ever have. Then five years ago I met the man I am now married to and my love for him is just as powerful.
I am so very grateful to have had this second opportunity to have a true love.

No, FIRST love comes once in our lives then we get used to fall in love so it's never the same after first love.

there are many times when we fall in love, we think that it's true love when it's actually only ordinary love.
for me, there's three very important loves.
first love
true love
right love
it's not everyone that gets to marry with their true love and the realy lucky ones find that their true love is the same as their right love....
so...yeah....true love comes once in our lives but it is our mind that thinks that the next love is true love when there's the possibility that it's not...

sometimes your fooled into believing that love is just lust and then after some time you realize that the glue that is suppose to hold you two together is not strong enough. Real love can be found once or if your lucky twice in a lifetime.

This is an overly-romantic concept. True love can happen more than once in a life time, but our negative attitudes insist that it happens once that's why we don't move on! This is just my opinion :).

Every love can be true love if you make it true. The relationship with somebody can work if both can understand each other, respect, care, and have similar opinions. So, when you try hard to change somebody, don't bother, because you can't change him/her. Either accept him as so, or don't try

yes, if it's true, then it only comes once, and when it does, it's impossible to find someone else who could provide the same love for you again.

No I don't believe in that because love is a matter of choice and its us who makes the love "true"

rubbish, methinks true luv can exist many time, otherwise if u found ur 'one true luv' and that person died, do u just give up the quest for happiness and if so how come many people have had two or three very happy mariages only shortened by death.

I think it can come several times. Unless you are hung up over your last one. And admittedly, many of us are. I think after your first experience, you soon learn what to expect, and the passion is replaced by other things you value more.
