By percentage the answer is yes and by percentage black boys are convicted of more crimes than white boys so there is a statistical corelation.
Good Luck!!!

This question may be difficult to prove; anecdotal evidence (that is, what people report, on their own (usually without documnetary evidence)) can be very misleading. You would need to see if the police in the area you are reporting on collect stop and arrest infromation by race, and not all jurisdictions do.
Also, social behaviors are often ignored when people think about these sorts of things. For example, if is very common where I live for young Black men to go to get their haircut at 2:00 a.m. or 3:00 a.m., but young White males rarely if ever do that. But it is routine for the police to stop young people (of any race) who are out on the street after a certain hour (usually midnight), on the reasonable belief that youth should be home by midnight or shortly after...and if they are abroad it is by itself suspicious. (As a youth, and suffering from insomnia, I was not infrequently stopped by the police in the wee hours.)
All in all, I think it is a good first try at a reasearchable question, but needs some refinement before you proceed.

Well, I guess it all depends on where you are in the country. we are in Chicago.
A lot of times race doesn't factor into the stop, rather some suspicious activity or moving violation.
My little brother (caucasion) get's stopped rather frequently but I don't get stopped at all. I think it has to do with the fact that he looks like he's up to no good, ie baseball cap, unshaved, leaning back in the seat, driving less-than-ideally, loud music, etc.
There are a lot of police officers who do hold race or color as a reason for suspicion: black, brown, yellow, white. Though color is not necessarily a determiner of race.

I know how difficult it is to prove your hypothesis, I did sociology A Level.
Try look at the national statistics - you can compare the officals stats to maybe some you can find yourself and then talk about the hidden statistics (the ones which aren't published but you can prove are there) - I hope you can make sense of this - I know what I'm trying to say but can't get it out. Sorry

No this is not true, i see just as many white people as i do black going thru the same thing. And not all cops are white nor racist, that is wrong. This is 2007 not 1950! does not happen any more. Where i live the cops are a mix of both if not more black than white.

If it had been shown that the perpetrators of 9/11 and 7/7 were
little old white women..would it not be sensible to target little old white women for searches?? Of course it would.
Just because they were coloured/asian/arab...why should it be any different?

This is true. Definitely. More so if the black guy in question has a white girlfriend. (Experience at university!)

yeah its true. probably because most youth crime is committed by young black youth.
Look up Operation Trident. There is no such equivalent for white youth as they do not have an out of control problem with firearms and shooting one another. Also, most crack cocaine and cannabis is couriered around town by young black youth.
FACT of life sweetheart, nothing to do with race issues
