I started working for and Agency. One week ago I was put on a temporary contract till march, the first day of my booking I experience a very hostile environment, at first I thought nothing of it that’s just life not everyone can't get along. one my second day I started to realize that the hostility was directed at me especially from the managers which happened to be two white women, I not really one to cry racism at any little thing I’m a strong person and I can handle myself. but I felt very uncomfortable with this environment it was the first time I’ve every experience such discrimination on the forth day I was called in the office and told that "I wasn’t what they were looking for" No other valid reason was discussed I later found out that another black girl was sent to the same company two weeks b4 and left for similar reason, should they get away with this?

Hostile work environment is a serious allegation but very simple and easy to prove.I think you should confront the situation head on and ask the superiors what the problem with your performance was.If you are contracted till March..that's how long you should work..unless they can prove great reason. However in some states they are not required to have a reason for termination..like mine.Just be sure to document every meeting and\or reason why in detail.(on notebook paper and dated is fine)So that if you pursue this..you have documentation of sorts.Good luck.

Your answer relies upon on the position you stay. who're the persons who stay on your community? Which communities are being discriminated adversarial to? In some places, there are large populations of African human beings; in different there are populations of Cubans, or Jewish human beings or another crew. One situation that continuously comes up in discrimination is practise- how can the academic reviews of everyone be optimized? that could not propose treating quite everyone an same because diverse human beings have diverse desires. yet another situation may be employment possibilities or housing. There may be some information on your interior of reach newspaper- see if that's on-line.

If you are an agency worker, the client does not need a reason to terminate you. They can say that you did not meet their needs, and you go back to the agency.

All they have to say is that they were not satisfied. They do not need a reason at all. While it may be discrimination, you have no way of proving it. Filing a complaint will guarantee that you will not be given any more work from your agency.

No they shouldn't!

But will it be worth the up hill battle to go against them?

Be the better more dignified person you obviously are leave the agency, move on with your life and tell your friends and colleagues how badly they treated you. That may achieve more than dragging yourself through a discrimmination case.

If you are not one to cry "racist" what are you doing right now? If you are an agency worker an employer needs no reason at all to terminate you. Stop playing the victim and move on with your life.

Make the complaint for the record. It may not get anywhere but it will be on record. It will build up and one day there will be a case.

I don't believe they should be allowed to get away with this. The managers seem to be either prejudiced or they are developing an unwarrented opinion of you.

Either way they should be professional to stop that crap. Sorry it's happening. Wish I could help.

It seems to me the state is discriminating against the employer.
An employer should be able to hire the most suitable person that he thinks can do the best job, is that unreasonable.

The client is paying for your hire, why should they do so if they did not like you? Members of some races have attitudes that make them incompatible with others and are better working with like minded people.
