Because it's a common cliche......Many of us realize it's untrue, but some don't.

This is silly. It's like asking someone what's more important, your arm or your leg. I believe both money and happiness are important. You can't really choose between the two.
Some say they don't need money, they have a loving wife, a loving kid, a loving family. And they don't need money. Ok great, they will still need money to buy food, pay the rent/mortgage, put gas in the car, pay insurance, pay for your kid's school/summer camp, take family to vacation, buy your family birthday presents, the list goes on.
If you think money is not important and you are absolutely happy with yourself, then great. Try going to the bank and tell the bank manager that you don't have any money, but you want to deposit some happiness or deposit some love, and see what happens.

Have you ever been so broke you are stressed all to hell. I am not saying broke as in not enough money for the car payment. I am talking one banana in the frig broke. I can understand why people would say that in this instance. But as far as acting like a baby because your mom wont buy you a 300 dollar purse is ridiculas. I beleive happiness is much deeper than money and material things. why cant people just love and be happy and not worry about who has what . it is so sad:(

Because with money you dont have happiness and with happiness you dont have money.
I dont think this applies to everyone but I can understand how it applies to some. A girl I was at school with had won the lottery, she wasn't happy as not many people liked her because she thought she was better than everyone because she had a bit more money than us but I can assure you now after two years of being at that school she realised that she wasn't all that!

You do not need money to be happy it is a myth most people can get by on family and love.
I am skint permanently but i have a beautiful daughter and wife so in my eyes I am the richest man in the world.
All you need is another money to eat and keep warm and have a roof over your head what else is there

i dont care what anyone says, but you do need money to be happy.im happy in my own little way but, juggling bills, debts etc...makes a very miserable life.sometimes,by the time ive paid everything out, theres no money left for shopping.im unhappy then.most people are in the same boat.im not saying i'd like to be a millionare or anything, just comfortable.if the minimum wage went up and inflation reduced or stayed the same,i'd be more than happy.like most people,i feel i just work, pay taxes, pay bills, debts etc...then got no time to be happy.

that is a exceptionally complicated question. funds solves quite a number of issues, opens one as a lot as quite a number of diverse reviews, and gives you someone a experience of protection; regardless of the indisputable fact that, imagine of all the wealthy and prominent people available who're completely depressing. Happiness is a exceptionally huge time period. Happiness usually incorporates funds, regardless of the indisputable fact that it ought to also mean love, little ones (or not), a stunning good occupation, etc. putting forward you opt on happiness over funds is type of like telling a genie that one among your 3 needs is to desire for 100 better needs. also, there are man made techniques to make oneself chuffed, e.g. drugs, alcohol, sex, etc.

The question is actually: Why do stupid lazy people always think they need to choose between money and happiness...?
And the answer is...
Because they're stupid and lazy.
Well, the real answer is actually because those stupid lazy people don't use their brains they way they should.

Because it is often assumed (but not necessarily rightly so) that if you have money then you are happy and you would be happy if you had money.
Its as if they go together!!!
I would be very happy if I had tons of money, but I dont and I am mostly happy anyway!
As they say, your are better off with your health than wealth!!!
