Which movie do you prefer more? "War of the World" or "The Day After Tomorrow" and why?

I preferred the movie The Day After Tomorrow because to me it seemed more real than the idea of the robots destroying the world. Plus everyone stuck together where the son took off on his own in the movie War of the World And the way the entire family got along in this movie sucked. Where in The Day After Tomorrow the actors in the movie show courage to help each other out no matter what and the extremes a father takes to save his family, to me it was a much better and more wholesome movie.

Day after tomorrow... the only reason is because something like that could and probably will happen.
the thing about war of the worlds is that it was so hyped up. tom cruise even said that he didn't want to get paid for it he said it is going to be so good he was going to take a percentage of the money the movie made. boy was he pissed when the movie didn't do nearly as well as he thought. it was ok but with the buzz following it i thought it would have been a lot better.

The Day After Tomorrow. Why? Because the movie War of the Worlds wasn't really War of the Worlds. It was Tom Cruise vs. his kids. It irritated the snot out of me. The only good thing was Morgan Freeman doing the narration. (That man could read a phone book and I'd be entertained.)
At least the Day After Tomorrow was slightly more entertaining. Especially with the mock Dick Cheney and turning the US into a third world country and it's citizens into refugees. That's all I got.

The Day After Tomorrow. Well, to be honest, the Effect on WOW were good, but the screaming on Dakota Fanning was just annoying. I got tired of it by the middle of the movie. I really didn't want to finish watching it, but I carried on. I am not really a Tom Cruise fan either.
Day After Tomorrow was a great movie. The effects were great. And the acting was better. It was more intense, and not to mention as they were walking along trying to figure out where they were at was kinda cool because you saw the structures earlier in the movie that were safe.

OMG!
Both movies were overblown. If I had to pick the best out of those two, I would pick the day after tomorrow. The only reason is because it had nothing to live up to. The original War of the Worlds was and is an awesome movie. The remake sucked majorly.

The day after tomarrow. It's so much more realistic and the scary part about it is it could happen, maybe not quite as dramatic as War of the worlds, but it's got the action packedness. And it's also got the family involved where the dad and the son are seperated and trying to meet. It's a great film!

WOTW cos Dakota Fanning was in it back in the day when she used to be cute now she's somewhat strange for a little girl. Don't really like Tom Cruise though.
I remember i watched Day after tomorrow, but i can't remember what happens in it. So if i can't remember what happens in it, then it mustn't have been a very good movie.

I like both,but I prefer a bit more War of the Worlds,becuase it wasn't like any other disaster/alien invasion movie.Why?Because the other movies there's always a president speech saying we saved mankind and stuff like that.War of the Worlds it's from the perspective of Tom Cruise's character,so we don't have to care a lot about the rest of the world,Lol!!

War of the worlds.. I really like Dakota Fanning she is such a good actress for her age... also It had alot more action in it.. The special effects were awesome.. I like Day after Tomorrow, but not as much
