Global warming is a fact. The specific cause is disputed. Carbon dioxide is produced by both burning fuels and decomposing vegetation in the forests and jungles. 95% of the carbon dioxide is actually produced by decomposing vegetation. Is the 5% that is manmade the straw that broke the camel's back?

There are pockets of methane in the ocean that are too small to economically tap for use as a fuel such as natural gas. There are many of these pockets which if released into the atmosphere will really promote global warming. Methane is worse than carbon dioxide for global warming.

Global dimming is a result of particle pollution in the atmosphere that reflects incoming sunlight. It opposes global warming.

If we fueled all our energy demands with clean natural gas, the air would be cleaned of pollution and we'd be really frying!

Global warming is the term used for the increase in the temperature of the earths surface due to the emission of CO2, NO2 and SO2 gases to the atmosphere, which results in the formation of the blanket above the stratosphere which returns the heat (energy generated from different sources like evapopuration, Burning of coke, thermal energy, nuclear energy etc) back to the planet resulting in the increase of the earth temp.
